Nature is not only fresh air and birds singing, but also plants that are dangerous for allergy sufferers.

Some of them are grown as cultivated plants. But there are also those in this list that grow on their own and appear on the site without human help.

Hazelnut, juniper, jasmine

If a person gets a runny nose, an unpleasant feeling in the throat, dizziness or watery eyes near these plants, then they need to be gotten rid of. Experts advise replacing juniper with azalea or boxwood, and jasmine with hydrangea.

Goldenrod, lily, sunflower

Ornamental plants can also cause allergies. Crocuses or phloxes can be planted in place of goldenrod, and irises and forget-me-nots can replace lilies. If you really like sunflowers, you can simply find an ornamental variety that does not produce pollen and seeds.

Birch and alder

Pollen during flowering causes many problems for people with chronic forms of the disease. It is better to replace these trees with apple, pear or cherry trees. There will be fruits and the allergy will not bother you.

Weeds

The source of discomfort may be lurking along the fence or elsewhere on the property. So, it is worth getting rid of ragweed, thistle, wormwood, quinoa and sorrel. As for the latter, only two varieties are dangerous: curly and sheep.

How to get rid of weeds

1. Ragweed is pulled out by the roots. But it is most effective to do this before flowering. Ragweed is displaced by alfalfa, wheatgrass, and fescue.

2. Thistle is removed in two stages. First, the top part is cut off. The base is sprinkled with salt or the root system is mechanically destroyed.

3. The quinoa is mown down or pulled out, and then the ground where the weeds grew is dug up.

4. Sorrel also needs to be mown down, and the areas where it grows are sprinkled with ash. After a couple of days, the weak roots can be removed.

5. Wormwood is the easiest to defeat. The weed just needs to be mowed down.
