Many people want to grow a large harvest of tasty carrots.

Getting a harvest and protecting root crops from pests and diseases is a task that not everyone can handle.

Carrots are considered an unpretentious crop, but growing a large harvest of this vegetable is not so easy.

To prevent carrots from becoming infected with diseases and to ensure they grow large, you only need to water them twice per season.

Immediately after the first thinning of carrot crops, carry out the first watering.

Prepare a special solution by dissolving 2 grams of boric acid and potassium permanganate in a 10-liter bucket of water. This solution is enough to treat 3 m2 of carrot crops.

If the weather is damp and rainy and lasts for a long time, carry out another watering after 14 days.

This remedy can protect carrots from various fungal diseases.

The main enemy of carrot crops is the carrot fly, whose larvae live in the ground and feed on root crops. These worms will not feed on carrots if you water them with ammonia - this will be the second watering.

To prepare the solution, take 2 tablespoons of ammonia and dissolve it in a 10-liter bucket of water.

Take personal safety precautions when handling chemicals because ammonia vapors are toxic and hazardous to human health, so wear protective equipment.
