Gardeners make four main mistakes when caring for mock orange, which is loved by many for the pronounced sweet aroma of its flowers.
The plant can bloom for a long time and fill the property with a subtle pleasant scent. But it may not bloom due to typical miscalculations.
Often, summer residents face a problem. It's spring, but the mock orange is not covered with buds and, in general, there is no hint of flowering in the future.
This nuance is detrimental to many plants. There are few crops that like dampness. In such conditions, the roots of "garden jasmine" rot.
Temperature fluctuations in spring do not frighten mock orange too much. But before wintering, the plant must be insulated. At a minimum, you should take care of the preservation of the roots. Mulching with sawdust or hay will protect the "garden jasmine".
Moisture deficiency is also not welcome. Regular watering is necessary. This is especially important in summer, when the garden withers under the scorching rays of the sun all day long.
A shaded area is not suitable for mock orange. The soil should be fertile, fertilized with compost or rotted manure.
