Why pepper seedlings dropped leaves after transplanting into the ground: reasons and how to avoid trouble

1. Watering mode

This crop likes frequent and abundant watering, because the root system of peppers is superficial and consumes moisture from the upper reaches of the soil. At the same time, excess moisture provokes bacteriosis. Therefore, it is ideal to water pepper seedlings once a day and in the evening with warm water under the root.

2. Lighting

Pepper will not develop normally if the daylight hours are shorter than 12 hours. At the same time, direct sunlight is also harmful.

3. Temperature

Temperature fluctuations are simply unacceptable - they provoke stress, and then the plant simply tries to survive, which is why the leaves fall off.

4. Poor soil

If you plant seedlings where eggplants, tomatoes and other nightshade relatives grew, the result will be disastrous. It is better to plant after onions, cabbage or cucumbers.

5. Pests and diseases

Aphids, whiteflies, mites and other pests, as well as diseases (black leg, bacteriosis, late blight, etc.), weaken plants. For example, after fusarium, it is easier to burn a plant than to cure it, so this problem cannot be solved without prevention.
