In the middle of summer, empty bald spots often appear on the beds after harvesting crops.

In empty spaces, you can sow herbs to improve the soil - green manure. In addition, you can re-sow crops to have time to harvest another crop.

Potato

For secondary plantings, use an area that previously grew peas or other legumes.

Before planting potatoes, the tubers are treated with growth stimulants to speed up germination.

Add a spoonful of ash or other nitrogen fertilizers to each hole in the amount specified by the manufacturer.

Carrot

One of the options for secondary sowing is summer varieties of carrots, which will keep well throughout the winter.

For secondary crops of carrots, areas are allocated where crops such as cabbage, peas or leafy vegetables were previously grown.

Onion

Onions for green onions are planted in advance and a separate plot is not necessary. Potato rows or early carrots are suitable for onion plantings. In this way, you can have fresh greens on the table until late autumn.

Cabbage

Kohlrabi cabbage, which has a short growing season, is more suitable for secondary plantings.

The predecessors for the crop will be tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers and legumes.
