For a long time it was believed that the effectiveness of a diet depends on the blood type, so it should be chosen accordingly.

Scientists have revealed whether this is actually a myth or the truth after conducting relevant research.

Diets that are tailored to blood type are not effective, researchers say.

This was first discussed back in the 1990s.

Proponents of this concept were encouraged to adhere to a specific diet and eating plan.

For example, patients with blood type I were recommended to eat a plant-based diet, while patients with blood type II were advised to eat meat.

The theory was disproved after studies involving 200 volunteers.

All of these were overweight people.

As part of the experiment, all study participants lost up to 5-7 kg while maintaining their usual lifestyle.

Blood type had no effect on the results.

As a result, scientists came to the conclusion that the claims about the connection between diet and blood type are not true.

According to the latest data, plant foods are beneficial for everyone without exception and regardless of blood composition.
