People who have tried to give up meat but failed should not be upset about their unsuccessful attempt.

It is quite possible that the reason lies in the lack of predisposition to this type of nutrition – this is the conclusion reached by scientists as a result of a recent study .

The experiment was conducted as follows.

Participants were given questionnaires and asked to complete them, after which the researchers analyzed their responses.

Thus, it was possible to find out that many of the people who consider themselves vegetarians periodically feel the need for meat dishes.

This conclusion led scientists to the idea that not all people find it equally easy to adhere to a vegetarian diet.

And it's not a matter of willpower at all - when it comes to giving up meat, the responsibility for this lies with the genes contained in a person's DNA and influencing his predisposition to eating plant foods.

It is believed that further research in this area, which will establish the relationship between diet and genes, will allow for more accurate prescriptions in dietetics.
