Australian nutritionist Kim Lindsay has spoken about the deadly danger of some foods when reheated.

According to her, in this case, the chances of “earning” not only food poisoning, but also damage to the nervous system, even cancer, are very high.

As Lenta.ru writes , the expert considers rice, eggs, potatoes and spinach to be such products.

As for rice, its dry grain contains spores of Bacillus cereus bacteria, which do not die even when heat treated.

Therefore, Lindsay advises to reduce the risk of poisoning by rinsing cereals before cooking and eating the prepared dish immediately.

You should not reheat potatoes because the bacteria contained in the root vegetables can cause botulism, a disease that affects the nervous system.

And reheated spinach can lead to poisoning and even the development of cancer.

The fact is that spinach contains nitrates, which, when heated and interacting with bacteria living in the mouth, can transform into carcinogenic nitrites.

In addition to cancer, spinach leaves can cause listeriosis. And the greatest risk of infection, according to the nutritionist, is carried by ready-made store-bought salads.

As for eggs, if they are reheated, the salmonella bacteria that may be in them will cause severe poisoning.
