Scientists conducted a study involving 200 volunteers to identify factors that provoke obesity.
For this purpose, all participants were given questionnaires.
They were required to talk about their childhood traumas, experiences, and addictions related to food. Then everyone had to undergo an MRI of the brain.
It turned out that people of different sexes have different factors that provoke problems with excess weight.
As a result, it was found that in women, overeating is associated with emotions.
They are also less resistant to the aroma and taste of ultra-processed foods, and find it harder to refuse such foods.
As for men, everything is different. No dependence on taste and smell was found; more often, representatives of the stronger sex pay attention to the reaction of their intestines to certain foods.
