Fried dumplings are certainly a tasty and filling dish, which is also quick to prepare.
But it is not always possible to achieve the ideal result. As the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, says, often during the frying process, frozen dumplings fall apart, are not crispy or are burnt.
If you want to surprise your family gathered at the table with dumplings that will be juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, use the following recommendations.
Before frying the dumplings, they need to be boiled. Important: do not cook the dish until it is fully cooked.
Throw the frozen dumplings into a pot of boiling water. Be sure to stir them so they don't stick to the bottom.
Wait until the dumplings float to the surface – this is a signal that they are ready for the next step.
After that, take them out with a slotted spoon and place them on paper napkins or towels to remove excess moisture. Now that the dumplings are half-cooked and dried, you can move on to frying.
Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan so that the dumplings do not absorb too much of it and become greasy.
Place the dumplings in a single layer, making sure they do not touch.
Fry them for 5-7 minutes, turning them 1-2 times so that they brown evenly.
At the very end, add a small piece of butter – this will make the dumplings much more delicious and aromatic.
By the way, you can also use fresh herbs, fried mushrooms, cheese, bacon, sour cream or cream as additives - they all make the dumplings more appetizing.
