You find a frozen product and realize that you simply don’t have time to wait several hours for it to defrost naturally.
In this case, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, advises using a simple, but at the same time effective life hack.
This method allows you to defrost meat in just 10 minutes, and does not require complex devices or expensive equipment.
You will only need the ingredients that you already have in your kitchen.
So, take a bowl that can hold the frozen piece of meat and pour some water at room temperature into it.
Pour 2 tablespoons of vinegar here and add the same number of tablespoons of salt.
Your next step should be stirring – do it with the utmost care to ensure that the ingredients used are completely dissolved.
Now that the solution is ready, you can put the meat in it. Make sure it is completely submerged.
The meat should spend about 10 minutes in the salty-vinegar liquid. Use this time to your advantage – for example, to prepare other products that you will need for cooking.
After the specified time, the meat can be removed from the bowl with the solution to make sure that the ice crust that covered it has disappeared.
Important: this method will only be effective if the piece of meat being defrosted is not very large – if you need to defrost a whole chicken or, for example, a turkey, the life hack, alas, will not work.
