It turns out that wilted fruits can be turned into hard and crispy ones with the help of… tomato juice.
Yulia Arkhipova, an expert in the field of cooking for the online publication Belnovosti, a chef and fourth-class baker, spoke about this method.
First, heat the tomato juice.
Take a saucepan, pour the red drink into it, add salt and spices.
Place the pan on the burner and bring the liquid to a boil.
Next, turn off the heat and wait until the tomato juice cools down.
Pour this liquid over the pickled cucumbers, placed in a clean container.
Close the filled container and leave it in the refrigerator for a couple of days.
The result will most likely be the transformation of soft cucumbers into hard ones with a pleasant “crunch”.
And don’t worry that tomato juice will have a negative effect on the taste of the fruit: the food will be delicious.
