It seems that boiling eggs is easy as pie. But in reality, everything is not as simple as it may seem.

Sometimes after boiling eggs, it is very difficult to peel them and half of the egg may remain on the shell.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to act.

There are a few things to keep in mind when boiling eggs to make them easy to peel.

To peel eggs easily and simply, you need to consider the condition of the eggs before and after cooking, and also observe the cooking time. When boiling, the liquid yolk becomes hard. This causes the yolk and protein to compress. The shell does not change in any way.

It is important to know that before boiling eggs, the temperature should be room temperature. If you put eggs from the refrigerator into boiling water, there is a risk of damaging the shell during boiling. To prevent this from happening, hold the eggs under a stream of warm water.

After the eggs are boiled, they need to be placed under cold water. This will help the shell come off the protein better. It is best to leave the eggs under cold water for about 3-5 minutes.

The duration of cooking the eggs is also important. The duration of cooking will depend on what kind of yolk you need in the end and what kind of water you put the eggs in at the very beginning: just warmed up or boiling water.

If the eggs are placed in heating water, then hard-boiled eggs are boiled for 10-11 minutes, and soft-boiled eggs for 5-6 minutes.

If the eggs are dipped in boiling water, then hard-boiled eggs are cooked for 8-9 minutes, and soft-boiled eggs for about 2-4 minutes. The average temperature when cooking eggs should be about 80 degrees.
