Stewed cabbage is liked by many gourmets, including German ones.

Therefore, it is not surprising that it was in Germany that perhaps the most delicious version of this dish was invented.

It's no secret that Germans simply love sausages.

This sausage product is part of the same “German-style cabbage”.

Perhaps it is precisely because of this ingredient that the dish turns out incredibly appetizing.

Or maybe it's the carrots, onions, or spices.

But it is not so important. The main thing is to try the dish. Believe me, you will not regret it. One "tasting" will be enough for German cabbage to become one of the culinary traditions of your family.

The recipe for this luxurious dish was shared by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova.

Recipe for German Cabbage

Select a head of cabbage. It should weigh about half a kilo.

Chop the vegetable and place the resulting pieces in a deep container.

Next, take one onion and cut it into numerous small cubes.

Pour the chopped onion into a heated frying pan.

Add a couple of grated carrots there too.

After 3 minutes, pour the sliced sausages into the pan. Six pieces will be quite enough.

Fry the meat and vegetable mixture for 4 minutes. Then mix it right in the pan with the previously shredded cabbage.

Place a lid on the pan, reduce the heat to low and set the timer for 10 minutes.

When the time is up, add a couple of tablespoons of tomato paste, one tablespoon of six percent vinegar and half a glass of plain water. Add a little salt and pepper to the resulting mass.

Next, cover the pan with a lid again. After adding the above ingredients and before the next stage, the cabbage should be stewed for 10 minutes.

The final component is diced tomatoes (2 pieces). The almost ready dish should be kept in the pan for another 5 minutes.
