Which of them can be used?

Ice water

A simple and practical method that you can safely try. Chop the vegetable. Then put it in a container with cold water and ice.

Salt

Coarse salt will also cope with the task perfectly. It is worth combining chopped onion with this ingredient and waiting no more than 15 minutes.

The onion will need to be washed under water and you can start cooking.
