A regular fry is a tandem of onions and carrots. And there are rules for the order of frying them.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare vegetable sauté.

In the case of frying, if you start frying carrots and then add onions, the onions will not fry, but rather stew.

In other cases, professionals always fry the onions first.

How to proceed

1. Fry the onion over moderate heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

It is important to fry it so that it has time to brown, but not burn.

2. When ready, reduce the heat and add grated or chopped carrots to the pan with the onions.

3. After this, the vegetables are cooked together until the carrots become soft.

4. Unlike onions, carrots are fried over low heat so that they have time to cook and not burn.

5. The mixture must be stirred to ensure even cooking of the vegetables.

Once the carrots are added to the pan, they need to cook for 5-7 minutes.

A properly prepared vegetable mixture will determine the taste of the soup or salad, as well as other dishes that the hostess is going to cook with the addition of fried vegetables.
