How to preserve tomato juice for the winter without sterilization: a great recipe

Tomato juice is very healthy, but only if it is salt-free. Preparing it for the winter is not as difficult as it seems.

It’s also a great way to process a large tomato harvest that could start to spoil at any moment.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to can tomato juice without sterilization.

There is nothing simpler.

1. First, clean tomatoes should be minced or chopped with a blender. It would be a good idea to cut out the stalk beforehand.

2. Then we rub the tomato puree through a sieve to get rid of the seeds and skin. As a result, we get tomato juice without impurities.

3. Next, add spices for flavor. The range is quite wide, from regular black pepper to garlic, basil leaves, and ginger root.

4. Place the pan with juice on the stove, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.

5. Pour into sterilized jars and roll up. Once the preparations have cooled, put them away for storage.
