Some people are not very favorable towards dumplings, considering them tasteless food for bachelors and students.
However, such conclusions are premature.
If you cook the semi-finished product correctly, even store-bought dumplings will turn out fragrant, tender and tasty, says Yulia Arkhipova, an expert on cooking for the online publication BelNovosti.
Traditionally, we are used to boiling both homemade and store-bought dumplings in water. This does not give them any special aroma or taste. Therefore, instead of water, it is worth using broth.
It is best to choose vegetable or chicken. If you have meat broth, make sure it is not too fatty.
Black peppercorns should definitely be added to the broth. A few pieces will be quite enough. You can also add a bay leaf for flavor.
An excellent choice would be stems of dill, parsley, cilantro. We usually don’t use them, but when cooking dumplings they will give a great aroma.
You can also add some celery stalks.
