That very saving additive is tarragon. Another name is tarragon.

To make the cucumbers crispy, when pickling them in a glass container, you need to ask for a couple of leaves of the above-mentioned plant.

Thanks to this ingredient, vegetables will acquire not only a “crunch”, but also a pleasant taste note.

What to do if there is no tarragon

Of course, not every summer resident has access to this plant.

However, don't worry if you don't have access to tarragon.

There are two ideal replacements: cherries and black currants.

The leaf blades of these garden crops are sources of tannins, which will protect the pickles from becoming too soft.
