Add this to warm kefir to make fluffy pies: a recipe for a universal dough

The dough for pies can be prepared with regular kefir, and it is not as difficult as it seems.

But you need to know some tricks to make the dough airy.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare a universal dough for pies with any filling.

You will need:

  • kefir - 250 ml;
  • flour - 450 g;
  • egg - 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil - 20 g;
  • butter - 20 g;
  • sugar - 1 tbsp;
  • salt - 0.5 tsp;
  • soda - 1 tsp.

How to cook

1. Pour warm kefir into a bowl and add egg, sugar and salt, stir until completely dissolved.

2. Add vegetable oil and melted butter to the resulting mass.

3. Mix flour and soda and sift into a bowl, knead the dough.

4. After kneading the dough, grease it with vegetable oil and leave it for 15 minutes under cling film.

The result will be an elastic and resilient dough, and pies can be made with any filling.
