Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, suggests discussing one of them – a cutting board.

This kitchen utensil can be made from a variety of materials, but the most environmentally friendly option is considered to be wood.

Proper use of a wooden cutting board also requires proper cleaning.

So, under no circumstances should you wash wood in a dishwasher. Even manual cleaning is prohibited if hot water is used.

How to clean such an "accessory" correctly? You will need salt and a slice of lemon.

First, rub the wooden surface of the board with salt crystals, which will absorb dirt and odor, and then rub it with lemon, which, in turn, will destroy bacteria.

After this, you can rinse the kitchen utensil in cool water.
