Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare barley kvass with birch sap.
1. Dry the bread in the oven until it gets a golden crust. Dry the barley grains in the oven or on a dry hot frying pan.
2. Strain the birch sap and heat it in an enamel bowl to 45-50 degrees Celsius.
3. Add bread, barley, sugar and yeast to the drink and stir.
4. Cover the container with gauze and leave in a warm place for 2-3 days.
Strain the finished kvass, pour it into bottles or jars and store in the refrigerator.
