First, it is recommended to remove the upper, damaged or wilted leaves from the fork and cut out the stalk.
Then you should put the head of cabbage in boiling water and cook it for 3-5 minutes. The main trick: you should add not only salt to the water, but also vinegar - about one tablespoon.
This “additive” will make the leaves softer and prevent them from breaking during further cooking.
After 5 minutes, you need to take out the cabbage, remove the first top leaves and put the head back into boiling water. Repeat this procedure until all the leaves are removed.
Then transfer the cabbage leaves to a plate and let them cool. After that, cut off the thick vein in the center of each leaf. If the leaves are still not soft enough, you can beat them lightly.
