Making French Shortbread Cookies: A Simple and Exquisite Dessert for Tea

If you want to treat yourself to aromatic and delicious baked goods, then you should pay attention to such a simple recipe that requires a minimum of ingredients.

Yulia Arkhipova, an expert from the online publication BelNovosti, spoke about how to make French shortbread cookies.

What products are needed?

  • sugar - 100 g;
  • yolks - 3 pcs.;
  • butter - 170 g;
  • flour - 280 g;
  • water - 1/2 tsp.

How to make cookies

Softened butter should be beaten with sugar, and then two yolks should be added to the resulting mixture.

Afterwards, gradually add flour while stirring the dough.

Once the mass becomes homogeneous, you need to roll it into a ball and put it in the refrigerator for an hour.

It is advisable to wrap the workpiece in cling film. Then the dough needs to be rolled out and circles cut out.

The last procedure is easy to do using a glass or mug.

The cookies should not be too flat. The optimal thickness is 5 mm.

As soon as the workpiece is placed on the baking sheet, it should be greased with a mixture of yolk and water.

The treat needs to be baked for about 15 minutes at 200 degrees. It is important that the oven is preheated.
