How to cook homemade sprats: the snack turns out tasty and aromatic - a simple recipe

You can make a delicious snack yourself from sprat.

You can take capelin or herring.

But you need to take into account some nuances, for example, it is important to cook in a saucepan with a thick bottom.

Ingredients

  • sprat - 700 g;
  • water - 150 ml;
  • bay leaf - 4 pcs.;
  • sugar - 1 tsp;
  • tea leaves - 2 tsp;
  • salt, cloves, black peppercorns – to taste;
  • vegetable oil - 150 ml.

How to make sprats

The tea leaves should be brewed with 150 ml of clean boiled water (the liquid should be hot). The drink should be infused for about 10 minutes, and then it should be filtered. After that, salt and sugar should be added to the tea.

The fish must be washed, cleaned and de-gutted.

Place two chopped bay leaves, half a peppercorn and a clove in a saucepan.

Put the sprats in. Put the rest of the spices on top. Then pour tea leaves and oil over the mass. When the mass comes to a boil, it means that the fish should be cooked for another hour at minimum heat.

Once the fish has cooled, it can be served.
