How to cook hake cutlets with cheese: a juicy and tender dish for lunch

Fish cutlets are a good option for lunch or dinner. The advantage is that you can serve this dish with any side dish.

But to make the cutlets perfect, you need to strictly follow the recipe. In this case, they will be juicy and tender inside, and there will be a nice crispy crust on the outside.

What ingredients are needed

For 1 kg of hake fillet you should take:

  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • vegetable oil - 5 tbsp;
  • stale white bread - 100 g;
  • milk - 200 ml;
  • egg - 1 pc.;
  • processed cheese - 1 pc.;
  • butter - 50 g;
  • breadcrumbs - 6 tbsp.

In addition, you can prepare salt, spices and herbs. Their quantity should be chosen based on your taste preferences.

How to cook hake cutlets

Vegetables should be finely chopped and then fried in vegetable oil for about 5 minutes. Fish fillet should be minced or chopped using a blender.

As for the bread, you need to cut off the crust, then pour milk over it and leave it for 10 minutes. After this time, the crumb should be lightly squeezed. The processed cheese should be grated.

Then all the ingredients need to be mixed, add spices and an egg. After that, you can start forming the cutlets. They need to be rolled in breadcrumbs and fried for about 3 minutes in a heated frying pan.

The preparation must be placed in a baking dish, which must first be generously greased with butter.

You need to bake the cutlets for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
