How to store cheese in the refrigerator: definitely not in cling film

Any more or less savvy housewife knows that the cling film in which a piece of cheese bought in a store was wrapped must be removed upon arrival home.

Instead, wrap it in regular parchment paper or waxed paper, then transfer it to an airtight container and place it on the refrigerator shelf.

There is one more important detail: if you want the cheese to last longer, use sugar.

A couple of cubes of refined sugar should be placed in a container along with the cheese wrapped in parchment.

If you notice that the sugar has "melted", replace it with new sugar.

There is also a sugar-free option, for which you will need olive or any other vegetable oil.

They need to be spread on the cheese before placing it in the refrigerator for storage.

In this case, you won’t even need paper or a container – the product won’t harden or become moldy anyway.
