Many novice cooks believe that making a honey cake is something out of science fiction that they will never be able to handle.
In fact, if you follow the instructions from a proven recipe, the dessert will turn out simply mind-blowing, and the cooking process will not take you much time.
And the ingredients needed are the simplest – there are only 5 of them (not counting the soda):
So, let's get to the dough, which needs to be cooked in a water bath. Melt honey, butter and sugar in a bowl - as a result, you will get a dark yellow mass, which should cool down for further use.
So, when the mixture cooked in a water bath is no longer hot, combine it with the eggs beaten in a separate container.
Now you can add flour, soda and knead the dough. When the base for the cakes is ready, divide it into 8 approximately equal cakes, from which you need to roll out "flat cakes".
The cakes take about 2-3 minutes to bake in an oven set to 180 degrees. Don't forget to trim them immediately after you take them out of the oven.
Grease the cakes with custard and sprinkle the crumbs left over from the cakes on top and on the sides. The finished cake should be left for about 6 hours so that it is properly soaked.
