Properly prepared aspic is solidified. Moreover, without the use of gelatin.

The broth “hardens” due to the collagen contained in the meat on the bone.

However, in some cases housewives suffer a culinary failure. We are talking about a situation when the aspic turns out to be too runny.

Of course, the dish can be consumed in this form. Its taste will be little different from the frozen one.

However, you shouldn't offer this dish to guests. The whole point is in the not very appetizing appearance and the unpleasant consistency of the aspic.

But you don't need to throw it away either. The dish can be saved. Moreover, there are two ways to "make" the food harden.

Adding concentrated broth

You can add an extra portion of broth to a poorly prepared aspic.

The decoction should be quite concentrated. In other words, when preparing it, you need to use a lot of meat and little liquid.

It is advisable to prepare the liquid using chicken feet or wings.

The prepared broth should be poured into the dish. The resulting mass should be thoroughly mixed and put in the refrigerator.

The second time you try, you should get the “correct” aspic.

Adding gelatin

If the hostess no longer wants to bother with preparing broth, she can add gelatin to the dish.

Yes, this ingredient should not be in classic aspic. But if there is a need to correct a culinary error, then there is nothing wrong with using protein.
