One of the best recipes for salting lard, which has been appreciated by many housewives.
The snack doesn’t take 5 minutes to prepare, but the taste deserves all kinds of praise, say the recipe’s authors.
The list of products consists of:
1. Garlic slices, pepper mixture, and then lard are placed on the bottom of the pan. It is cut into large pieces. On top go another 3-4 cloves of garlic, cut into slices.
2. Next, add another layer of lard. Garlic and bay leaf are evenly distributed on top.
3. Place a pot of water on the stove and bring to a boil. Then add salt to the liquid and stir until the product dissolves.
4. When the salt has dissolved, add the onion peel. Boil everything in boiling water for 5 minutes, then remove the brine from the heat and cool.
Onion peels in the recipe provide not only color, but also a rich aroma.
5. Pour the resulting brine over the lard, cover the container with a lid and place in the refrigerator for 5 days. During this period of time, open the lard once to turn the top pieces over.
6. After 5 days, dry the lard with paper towels.
7. Rub some of the lard with dry adjika, leave some as is, and roll the rest in grated garlic and a mixture of peppers.
8. After freezing, all that remains is to slice the lard thinly, place it on a slice of bread with onions and taste it.
