Cutting a head of cabbage into individual leaves is a rather troublesome procedure that takes a lot of time.
To do this, many housewives boil a whole head of cabbage in a large saucepan and gradually disassemble it into leaves. But there are other, easier ways that will allow you to easily cut up the vegetable for cabbage rolls.
This method is suitable for medium-sized cabbage, weighing up to 1.5 kg. Wash the cabbage well, remove the upper damaged leaves.
Wrap the vegetable in a couple of layers of cling film. Place the cabbage in the microwave for 10 minutes at medium power.
As soon as the cabbage has cooled, you need to remove the stalk and separate the cabbage into leaves.
This method is convenient for medium-sized cabbage. Put the vegetable in a steamer for 2 minutes, then remove the top leaves.
Then put the cabbage back into the steamer basket and cook for 10-15 minutes, occasionally separating the outer leaves. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the cabbage and its variety.
A convenient, but not the fastest way. Put the forks in the freezer overnight. Then take them out, wait until the product defrosts and remove the leaves. They will be pliable and soft.
