Pour a small amount of granulated sugar into a jar, close the lid and shake the contents of the container several times to dissolve the white granules.

After this, you can leave the jar of cucumbers for a couple of hours, and after the specified time has passed, feel free to taste them.

For a 700 ml jar, 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar is enough (the exact amount still depends on the degree of acidity).
