How to prepare sauté for borscht: the main secret of a unique dish

No one has ever managed to make a delicious red borscht if the frying turned out mediocre.

There are a great many recipes for borscht, but the most correct and successful one is the one that your family will like. Perhaps this is the very recipe you were looking for.

To prepare you will need:

  • 2 carrots;
  • 4 medium sized beets;
  • 2 medium onions;
  • 6 tomatoes;
  • 3 pcs. sweet pepper;
  • 1 tbsp sugar;
  • 1 tbsp vinegar;
  • 1 tsp salt;
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper;
  • 50 g butter;
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil;
  • 250 ml meat broth.

How to cook

Zazharka is the main ingredient of red borscht.

To prepare it, wash the vegetables and peel them. Grate the root vegetables and cut the pepper into strips. Cut the onion into half rings.

Peel the tomatoes and cut into 4 pieces.

In a frying pan with vegetable oil, fry the onion, then the carrot. When it turns golden, add the beetroot. After 5 minutes, add the tomatoes. When ready, add sugar, vinegar, salt and black pepper and fry the mixture for 5-7 minutes.

Finally, add the sweet pepper, broth, sauté for 7 minutes, add the butter and, after it has melted, turn off the heat, cover with a lid and let the frying sit for 10 minutes.

After this we prepare the borscht.
