An unpretentious dish – fresh cabbage salad – was often prepared in Soviet canteens, and modern catering establishments are in no hurry to exclude this dish from the diet.
It doesn't require any scarce ingredients to make. Just carrots and cabbage. But for some reason, the salad won't be as appetizing at home.
Save the recipe if you want to try this very dish.
The cabbage, cleaned of its top leaves and stalk, needs to be washed and shredded.
Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Cut the onion into thin half rings.
Then knead the cabbage with your hands to release the juice, mix the vegetables in a deep bowl, sprinkle with salt, sugar and finally add vegetable oil and vinegar.
The salad is mixed and served on plates.
Bon appetit!
