If you suddenly discover that a piece of lard, which was lying quietly in the freezer, has acquired an unpleasant yellowish tint, you should not make hasty decisions.

More often than not, such a product is mercilessly thrown into the trash bin.

We suggest that you act wisely and use the yellowed lard to good effect.

To begin with, you can try pouring milk over the lard and leaving it like that for a couple of hours, or better yet, overnight.

After this, the lard can be salted, or made into cracklings, or even smoked.

For the second option, you will need a meat grinder - grind the lard using the device.

Add chopped or pressed garlic and finely chopped dill to the resulting mass. Store the prepared product in the refrigerator, filling glass jars with it.

This aromatic mixture can be added to any dish, but cabbage soup, borscht or kharcho will taste best with this lard, and it can also be used as a spread for bread.
