Let's prepare a delicious khachapuri for breakfast: not only tasty, but also fast

If you want to make a hearty, yet simple breakfast, this khachapuri recipe is just for you.

For 4-5 small khachapuri you will need:

  • 1 cup flour;
  • 0.5 tsp salt;
  • 1 tsp baking powder;
  • 2/3 cup whey (can be replaced with kefir or sour milk);
  • 250 g suluguni;
  • 250 g feta cheese.

To prepare the dough, you will need to combine flour, salt and baking powder in a suitable container, and then pour in our fermented milk product.

Mix all ingredients until you get a smooth and soft dough.

Set it aside to let the dough rest, and in the meantime prepare the filling - just grate the cheese. You can add finely chopped greens to it or even opt for mashed potatoes.

Sprinkle the table with flour and roll out small flat cakes - about the diameter of the frying pan. Don't forget to put the filling on top, then pinch the flat cake in the center and roll it again with a rolling pin.

Fry the khachapuri for about 5 minutes on each side in a hot frying pan without adding oil under a closed lid. The fire should be quite strong.

Once the finished khachapuri are placed on a plate, do not forget to grease them with butter.
