Punishment is an expression of hatred? Is it okay for parents to punish their children?

Many parents are afraid to subject their sons and daughters to punishment.

Such mothers and fathers are sure that punishing your child means demonstrating anger and hatred.

But is this conclusion correct?

Actually, no. It may seem strange at first, but a parent who punishes a child fairly shows love for the child.

Therefore, do not be afraid to punish the child if he really behaved badly: you will not spoil the relationship with the heir. Quite the contrary.

But remember certain nuances.

Why a child can be punished

A child who has been punished for bad behavior begins to understand that bad behavior has certain consequences.

The child becomes more polite and begins to treat others with respect.

But a feeling of impunity can make a child impudent, arrogant, overly demanding and rude.

How to punish a child correctly

Punishments should not be harsh. Of course, the use of force by parents is unacceptable: no "belts"!

In the vast majority of cases, simple measures can be used: “You cannot use a computer today,” “You cannot use a smartphone for 3 days.”

And remember: you can only punish a child if he or she has really done something wrong. Do not punish a child for accidental mistakes or for blunders caused by a lack of experience in a particular matter.
