The reality is that many children have to wear glasses from a very early age – even in kindergarten, if not earlier.
For some reason, children do not want to do this, despite the fact that glasses are no longer as scary as they used to be and no one teases anyone about being a “four-eyes”.
What to do in this case?
1. There is an opinion that children consider themselves less beautiful or funny with glasses.
The problem is solved very simply. You just need to choose a frame that suits your face shape, as well as lenses.
Modern models are not just beautiful, but they change their facial expression, image, and appearance.
In this case, the child will like the glasses, and if you also explain what they are for, the problem will be solved forever.
2. It is possible that friends or classmates are teasing the child. But there are other options besides asking the teacher for help.
You just need to help your child understand that glasses are not only good for health, but also fashionable and stylish.
Tell your children that many people now wear glasses that do not correct their vision, as an accessory. They just need them for their image.
And if that doesn’t help and your age allows it, you can switch to contact lenses.
3. Discomfort. This is probably where we should have started. Glasses and lenses can be heavy, can squeeze the bridge of the nose, and can slip when reading or moving.
All this suggests that the frame was poorly chosen, and the parents decided to save money on the lenses.
But it is important to keep in mind that in this case, in addition to discomfort, headaches, fatigue, dry eyes and other problems may develop.
