In moments of strong anger, resentment or confusion, parents can utter dangerous phrases towards their child.
In most cases, the consequences can be “smoothed out” if you show in time that the words that were offensive to the child were spoken “out of emotion.”
But there is one phrase that can cause serious psychological trauma to a child: the harm will be irreparable.
So, what words should you never say when communicating with your child?
“I don’t love you anymore”... This is the worst thing a child can hear from mom or dad.
If parents said this phrase, it does not mean that they really stopped loving their child.
But the baby is unlikely to understand this. He will probably not understand the real emotions of his parents and will come to the conclusion that he is no longer needed by his mom and dad.
Of course, parents will then try to explain their words as an unsuccessful joke or an attempt to "punish" the child. But this is unlikely to help.
Therefore, do not say the phrase “I don’t love you anymore” even if the child is behaving very badly.
Earlier we told you why parents shouldn’t tell their child “no” too often.
