Why You Shouldn't Exaggerate Your Child's Abilities: The Dangers of Excessive Praise

Many parents are not shy about praising their children.

They celebrate every achievement of the child, even the most insignificant.

Sometimes it comes to exaggerating the child's abilities. Mom and dad can call the child "the best", although he has performed the simplest actions.

Constant and not always deserved compliments to your child are very dangerous.

Possible Consequences of Excessive Praise

Do you show admiration for absolutely every action of your son or daughter?

Do you give your child a reward for completing simple tasks (washing dishes, cleaning the room, doing homework)?

Do you call any drawing created by your child a “masterpiece”?

Then be prepared for the fact that the baby will become the owner of excessively high self-esteem.

This is fraught with the fact that the child will become self-confident, arrogant and impolite.

But this is not the most dangerous consequence of excessive praise. A child who is constantly admired by his parents will have a hard time getting used to real life.

The baby will always expect a positive reaction from those around him. But in reality, admiration and compliments will be rare occurrences. And this will make the child very angry.
