Any child can trip and fall while walking.
After this little incident, many parents make a serious mistake.
They immediately begin to blame the baby, saying phrases like: “Why are you so careless!?” or “Can you walk normally!?”
Some moms and dads start laughing. There's nothing good about that either.
You cannot humiliate, blame or ridicule a child who finds himself in an unpleasant situation.
Keep in mind that absolutely anyone can trip. Including you.
To a fallen child you need to say the following: “Are you hurt?”
Other good options are: "Are you in pain?" and "Oh, are you scared?"
In other words, you must immediately let your child know that you are ready to show concern.
Correctly asked questions are a guarantee that the boy or girl will not worry about what happened. He or she will perceive what happened as just a small annoying oversight. The child will be grateful to mom and dad for support and the absence of negative emotions.
The child will not develop a sense of guilt and will not have a drop in self-esteem.
