5 Phrases a Child Should Hear from Parents Before Becoming a Schoolchild

There is very little time left until the Day of Knowledge. Soon schoolchildren will finish their summer holidays.

In addition, many children will become first-graders.

Parents can do a lot to ensure that their child is mentally prepared for school life.

First of all, you need to talk to the baby. It is desirable that the child hears the following phrases from mom and dad:

"Don't worry"

The ceremonial assembly and the beginning of school is an exciting moment for a child.

And the child needs to be told that there is no need to worry. It is also not okay to worry before every test or quiz.

If a first-grader does not understand this right away, then his entire subsequent school life will be associated with frequent stressful situations.

"Don't chase grades"

The child must immediately understand that grades are far from the most important thing.

The main thing is for the child to understand what subjects he likes and what he doesn't. And to realize what he is good at and what he is not so good at.

A child should attend school for the sake of knowledge, and not just for the sake of the not always deservedly received high marks.

"Don't compare yourself to your classmates"

Comparing yourself to others is a surefire way to lower your self-esteem.

In some ways the child will be better than his classmates, and in some ways - worse than some of them. And this is absolutely normal.

"Don't be lazy"

After hearing the first three phrases, the child should not come to the conclusion that studying can be taken lightly.

If there is an opportunity to study well and gain knowledge, then this should be done.

Yes, you can't overwork yourself. But you can't be lazy either.

"No one has the right to offend you"

It is also important to remember that at school the child will acquire many social skills through communication.

However, a child who does not have much life experience may be vulnerable to some people.

A child should not tolerate bullying either from other schoolchildren or from teachers. If a problem does arise, the child should immediately tell his parents about it.
