It turns out that adults who live alone for a long time have a 32 percent higher risk of dying from cancer.

In addition, scientists were able to establish that this group most often includes single white men with a good education.

But at the same time, there was a higher risk of obesity and psychological illnesses. They also smoked and drank more often.
