There are other effective options, nutritionist Oksana Mikhaleva said during a conversation with Izvestia .

The specialist identified two groups of products: stimulants and energy sources.

Coffee is a stimulant, and the list also includes tea, cocoa and cocoa products, such as chocolate. They give a person the effect of energy, but this is a false feeling.

But in fact, carbohydrates and proteins can be called sources of energy.

The first should be at least 50 percent of the incoming energy. You need to choose complex carbohydrates. In this case, we are talking about bread, vegetables, dark varieties of flour and cereals.

Protein products are also useful, they provide energy for a long time. These can be nuts, dairy products, eggs.

The doctor also singled out meat, noting that it is a long-digested protein, so you shouldn’t expect a surge of energy right away.
