TV doctor Alexander Myasnikov said that there are diseases that often go away on their own.
As an example, he cited the common saying that if you treat a runny nose, it goes away in a week, but if you don’t treat it, it goes away in seven days.
“Curable diseases are divided into those that we can treat and those that go away on their own,” the expert is quoted as saying by Medic Forum .
He noted that in many cases, treatment is limited to preventing complications and reducing the duration.
He cited viral diseases as an example. Therefore, you should not ignore a visit to the doctor if you feel unwell.
Still, therapy is necessary so that the patient does not experience a critical deterioration in his condition.
But the doctor identified one exception to the rule.
The only exception he noted was the treatment of hepatitis C. It is possible to completely get rid of the problem; the necessary medications exist for this.
