Tea is a favorite drink of many. It warms, tones, invigorates, and also serves as an excellent addition to a snack.

But few people know that this popular drink should be brewed according to certain rules. If you make mistakes, it can lead to health problems.

Dietitian and nutritionist Irina Mansurova told aif.ru more about this.

As the specialist noted, one of the main mistakes is that many people brew tea leaves and then drink this drink for several days in a row. In this case, the tea leaves are simply poured with boiling water until they lose their color. This should not be done.

Tea gives off all its beneficial properties in the first 10 minutes, and then flora develops in it that is suitable only for bacteria.

In addition, some substances will have a negative effect on the nervous system.

Another mistake, as Mansurova noted, is that some people drink scalding tea. But you shouldn't drink a hot drink, it can burn the esophagus, which leads to cancer of the larynx and esophagus.

Also, don't drink tea on an empty stomach. This will increase your stomach acid levels.

The result may be heartburn, ulcers, and even irritable bowel syndrome.

You also shouldn't drink tea with food, as this will interfere with the normal absorption of iron. It is best to drink the drink an hour or an hour and a half after eating. But this rule is not relevant for herbal teas.
