Malocclusion is a serious matter.

If the situation is not corrected, such a problem provokes unpleasant consequences with teeth. Enamel may wear off, caries or periodontitis may appear.

But the list of diseases does not end there.

Doctor Grigory Kulyasov provided more details.

He explained during a conversation with journalists that today, due to improper occlusion of teeth, there can be about 50 different disorders.

There is a high probability of developing diseases associated with the temporomandibular joint.

“The most common of these are chronic headaches, dizziness, ringing in the ears, pain in the joints and neck, chronic muscle tension and back pain,” RIA Novosti quotes Kulyasov as saying.

Problems with the bite affect the position of the joints, neck, back and spinal column. The displacement of the lower jaw leads to problems with the hyoid bone, and as a result, the person experiences a spasm of the neck muscles.
