Migraine attacks negatively affect the quality of life.

Painful sensations may not only persist for a long time, but also be accompanied by additional unpleasant symptoms. For example, nausea and fatigue may appear.

But not everyone knows that an attack can be triggered by certain foods. That is why you should be especially careful when choosing your diet if you already have problems.

Neurologist Marina Vasilenko provided more details.

First of all, she singled out popular drinks.

“Drinks with caffeine – coffee, cola, tea – can cause headaches both if you drink too much of them and if you sharply reduce their consumption,” RIA Novosti quotes the doctor as saying.

In addition, headaches can be caused by alcohol, chocolate and foods containing tyramine (for example, sauerkraut, olives or blue cheese, etc.).

The list doesn't end there.

Vasilenko added in a conversation with the press that pain can be caused by products containing sodium glutamate. These are snacks and sauces, sausages, ham and hot dogs.
