Running can be addictive.

This statement was made by Norwegian scientists, writes the Izvestia publication.

As experts have discovered, such an activity can harm mental health.

Clinical psychologist Lidiya Dovzhik noted during a conversation with journalists that physical exercise or similar activities can be a way that most people think can help get rid of problems, and also helps postpone making a decision. But in the end, this only leads to additional problems.

At the same time, as Dovzhik pointed out, the work does not reflect the cause-and-effect relationship. Therefore, the question arises as to what comes first.

As the psychologist emphasized, it is more likely that people initially avoid difficult decisions and negative thoughts, and therefore go running.

This strategy can indeed be successful if it is short-lived.

In addition, the doctor noted that running, like any physical activity, has a positive effect on health, improves sleep, which ultimately makes a person more productive.
