Some people believe that alcohol helps to cope with stress. But this is a misconception.

If you believe that alcohol is a calming agent, you may soon face alcoholism and other serious health problems.

Clinical psychologist Nadezhda Zamyatina, in a conversation with a journalist from the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper, suggested an alternative to alcohol in the fight against stress.

As the specialist noted, herbal teas and walks in the fresh air are excellent for calming.

It is also necessary to establish a sleep schedule. It is important for a person to get enough sleep so that the body has time to recover after difficult days.

In addition, moderate physical activity will not be superfluous. Swimming is considered an ideal option. If you do not want to visit the pool, you can give preference to classes in the gym, yoga or health gymnastics. The main thing is to find the type of activity that will bring pleasure.

At the same time, you shouldn’t forget about your interests, hobbies, and communication with relatives and friends.

The doctor added that if you still want to return to the topic of alcohol, this may indicate addiction. It can be difficult to cope with the problem on your own, in such situations it is important to contact a specialist in time.
